it is a toy
I wasn't going to bag on his tile over realism due to this being for a board game and occasional RPG.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Making People NPCs as separate characters is a pretty solid idea. I think everyone is going to want different things, so I'll try to make the range as broad as possible.

As for the catapult - thanks for your replies - the mechanics in the sample photo are alterable - its easy to make the deck smaller and the arm longer, for the finished version.

Hmmm... I don't see it. Shouldn't the arm be longer and counter-balanced? It seems to pivot about the end, like a Crossbows & Catapults toy.

Actually, the catapult head should be smaller on account of being lower, and the catapult mast should be longer as you say - and counterweighted. The handles on the tension wheels are not completed either, aside from the temporary technical specs, how do you like the graphics?

Yeah, the wood is nicely done. Might want to crop the image very close so that the terrain does not move with it. Variations in the projectiles as Cyn suggests is probably a good idea. And offers a cheap way to customize. You could load the catapult by dropping small square tiles on top of it.

This is what I think of when you say "trebuchet"

The length and counterweight should dwarf the projectile.

Relax. From my perspective, you are doing SA a disservice if you think it could be better and don't tell him/her. SA is trying to start a business after all. All who read this thread have been enlisted all of us as part of the "test team". Happy to do my part. |_P

You're right, this is a catapult, not a Trebuchet, I should correct that. As per your suggestions Whitebeard, I will offer a finished version that will be trimmed to make the machine movable and not terrain specific - I'm also printing boulders as separate tiles -and I understand that they should not be identical - I'm just offering a taste of what I will be creating - and all the suggestions are helping me very much, so thank you to Everyone. :) SA
