Elf Skill Cards

Postby GimmeYerGold » November 12th, 2013, 11:52 am

Here's my set of Elf Skill cards, using the template and Gary Chalk images. There are available to the Elf at the beginning of each quest.
To keep things balanced, the monsters defend with white shields and have their own selection of skills, too.

You can see my Barbarian Skill cards here: http://www.yeoldeinn.com/hqforum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=1998

These cards you are making is really great. Doesn't seem OP at all.

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but what is the point of enchantments?

Thanks, Goblin-King! Glad you're enjoying them.

re: Enchantments. I have some rules that allow spell casters to unlock custom artifact items and chaos spell decks after a certain number of enchantments are earned.

Sort of a way to "level up" and encourage the casters to use all their spells.

Nice elf! More sneaky! I like those assassin/thief cards.
He has access to chaos spells too?

After a few quests, and if he's cast all his spells each quest, he can spend his enchantments to get a Chaos Spell Book which puts one deck of random chaos spell cards into play at the beginning of the quest during the spell selection phase.

Again, I recognize some props from my own, which I haven't posted.
That means, you are a genius, too.
As G-K said, nothing is overpowered there. I like them all.

I don't like these. Not sure why. Its not the quality. Maybe its because they're antithetical to my style of dominion. I intend to make some of these fur-real and test them out. I am setting up a weekly pick up game of HQ at a local gamestore starting tomorrow.

Be my guest :)

I'd be interested to know how they test. I'll upload the wizard and monk cards, too.

i really like these but i dont think the sneaky ones are really suitable for the elf, hes supposed to be more of a noble wood elf, all nature loving and stuff. really great for a thief or assassin character though!
