Perhaps some strategic or non-attack skills like Bodyguard, that round out his character a bit--his character is a little harder to develop, outside of bloodthirsty brute skills :|

When I think of Barbarians, one quality that comes to mind is their running leap attacks from history. The 90s Conan the Adventurer cartoon series also featured a lot of jumping and movement. My answer is to allow 4 red dice for movement, discarding any 2. This gives the Barbarian a movement that averages 9 squares (I think). You could also allow him to reroll a failure when jumping a trap. A broader idea is a danger sense that allows rerolling of any damage resulting from a trap.

My friend is definitely roleplaying a devil-may-care barbarian type! He mocked a pit trap by urinating into it, but then failed the jump!

It was hilarious to watch his hubris deflate :D

He was back to his old self after he smashed in a couple of zombies!

I'd seen these skill cards before but didn't want to use them because I didn't want to over-complicate things for the players, but I think I just thought of how to use them!

Leveling up!

I'd decided that leveling up for the wizard (and the elf) could be as simple as learning a new spell (I have plenty for them to choose from beyond the original ones), but didn't know what to do for the barbarian and dwarf. Now I'm thinking give them each one of these cards to use each quest when they level up.

Can anybody repost GimmeYerGold's Skillcards (dwarf, barbarian, elf, wizard) because I can't see the images?
I would be so happy with this material!
