My mum is dead now (August) after a year in a home where we saw her through a screen with rubber gloves through it. horrible for us, but unimaginable for her. It is now apparent that this is our life. Make the best of it while you still can. Played some HQ with my brother last week. We finished 'Into the Goblin Ranks'. Very tough, but very enjoyable.

Also sorry for the terms of your loss, Admiral. When I get put away and a pandemic is raging, I wanna be playing Hero Quest with other old farts . . . or at least with a robot.

It has affected everyone and in many many ways. I know some people who ended up out of work, and it was actually ok with the child bonuses.
But others, older single guys for example, where being out of work was devastating. Myself, I work as a custom machine design engineer,
and everyone is trying to automate to make up for less workers, so Ive been slammed. For a few months we worked from home, now I
simply work all the time. The hard part for me has been the disruption of every day life. Not being able to see my family. We lost several
people over the last 2 years, including my sister who ended up in a home, and passed, and never even knew she had been put in a home.
Having distractions like games we enjoy certainly helps. But for the people who live alone, that only helps some. Not sure what anyone can say
but hang in there, we are all struggling together.
