Food Pictures - prepare your tastebuds

Homemade pizza for dinner. Homemade sauce, homemade dough, two layers of sauce,
cheese, pepperoni. Looks a lot better than it tastes, but it was still a ton better than
store-bought.

Aw man - are you going to joke on my pizza? Come on....

But yes, it is a stuff pizza, actually - two layers of sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. I am
on the look out for a cheap, much larger cast iron skillet, so I can make large flat pizzas.
Right now, it is either this, or medium sized flat pizzas using our square stones that go
in the oven.

I have made more traditional style pizza before - sauce, cheese, and basil - or simply
olive oil, cheese, small tomato pieces, and basil.

Really two layers? :D

Had the owner of an Italian restaurant here over the weekend. He'd say that your pizza is against his religion.

It was so good, in the four days he was here, I took on a whole kilo. That's around two pounds for people living with the middle age system.

It was just a simple pizza dough, water salt flour yeast and oil, left alone for hours and hours.

Mashed tomatoes with only very little herbs of Provence

The Emmental, then what you like, then again a little Emmental cheese. I was astonished of how little cheese he used.

It was so good.
So good.
Almost as good as a treasure chest with 100 Gold coins. :D

Double the layers, double the awesome! ;) I just have never seen one with the cross hatch top. Reminds me a lot of an apple pie ;) But i cant say too much ... the last pizza i made... i got carried away and added so many toppings it was more like a small mountain encased in melted cheese at the end of it xD

Pepperoni pizza contains 3 out of 5 food groups :D must be good for you right!

No pics. I destroyed the evidence ;)

That is called a deep dish or Chicago style. I've never seen it with a lattice top though.

Check out my two floor sandwich.
It was constructed and consumed more than 10 years ago.
From bottom to top: bread, cheese, turkey, beef, chicken, hard boiled egg, ketchup, mustard.
Second floor: omelette, cooked egg, spaghetti, baked potatoes, banana, bread.

Anderas - I'm going to have to try that. That is really all my dough is - I'll have to make it and just let it sit...and sit, and sit.
I have the herbs up in the cabinet, so we're good there.
I'll have to keep an eye out for that cheese - I think I have seen it before at a local store - they have a full cheese shop.

And tasoe - I'm...I'm not even sure what to say about that. :o

I'm glad my wife is a good cook. I'll leave it at that.

I saw this topic the other week and didn't think anything of it at first, until now.

If we are going to talk food, then okay. I glad my girlfriend is an excellent cook, but with that being said here are two things I cook.

P_20190210_165058.jpg

This is a side dish I make to go with the main coarse. It's bacon, onions, garlic, brussel sprouts, beer, and balsamic vinegar.

P_20171216_153109.jpg

This is an old Polish family recipe for Easter Bread, I can't remember the actual name for it. However I make this every year like clock work at Christmas time. It's a very heavy sweet desert bread.

tasoe, ummmm, yeah, right. I'm with torilen on this one, not to sure what to say.
