HeroQuest on Woman.dk

Postby Goblin-King » August 17th, 2015, 3:30 am

I just have to share this with you!

Woman is a Danish lifestyle magazine aimed at... women.
Their website woman.dk made a small feature in the entertainment section "17 genius board games you had forgotten existed".
And on slide 13, out of freaking nowhere... BAM! HeroQuest! In a women's magazine!
It's not much, but we'll take what we can about HQ in modern media! |_P

17 genius board games you had forgotten existed
Remember when the best Christmas present you could get was a board game?
That's why we've had just about all of these laying around.

Heroquest

Heroquest were perhaps mostly for (role playing) boys, but if you've had a brother you definitely played it.
And by God was it mystical and appealing!

Yes?

nah, I think I was googleing for top 10 animated movies and checking out a couple of the lists, one of which was Woman's.
From there they had a link for another top list for board games.
You can get far and wide by following links :P

Nobody ever tried getting lost in time on wikipedia by following a trail of interesting links? :ugeek:

A little masculinity policing this fine morning?

Got to be sure that all maleness is strictly enforced to rigid standards, right?
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

It's interesting they used a picture featuring AtOH since it definitely was unavailable in Denmark.
Only Keller's Keep ever made it if I recall correctly. It's the only one I ever played as a kid at least. Not even RotWK.
