Super Scrabble's board is actually 21 x 21, although that still doesn't come anywhere close to this 85-character monstrosity. You couldn't even wrap it around the entire border of the board!

I thought the first letter to be a gamma?

Yes it is! It’s Γ=γ=gamma. The ‘γεωγραφία’ (γεω=γη=earth, γραφία=write) translated as geography. But the Γ does not truly sounds like G. It sounds better as the ‘Y’ of Yellow.

For example if a Greek says ‘γεωγραφία’ it sounds better as yeoyrafia than geografia, or something between (if you'll put it in google translate and press the speaker you'll understand).

The G in Greek is the G=g=TZ=τζ (e.x george) or the G=g=ΓΚ=γκ (e.x. gate). So if a Greek want to say geography in English we spell it as ‘τζεογκραφι’ and not 'γεoγραφι'.

ps: The Ω=ω and O=o sounds exactly the same in Greek as the O=o in English. The Ω=ω=omega called Ο-μεγα (The O-mega=the O the big) and the O=o=omicron called O-μικρον (the O-micron=the O the micro=the small).

This is the Mother of all Boardgame-hacker Forums with loads of house rules and you want to tell me you can't print a big board and invent a house rule that no words with less than 16 characters are allowed?
You can call it "Superscrabble" :)

Well, we could print a 85 x 85 board just to allow for Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu. But as
- Scabble is not restricted to place names, and
- The chance of actually drawing the letters for this word are less than one in several billion
this would obviousely make no sense. To be a real archivement over standard Scrabble, the board would have to be big enough for the player to make every word he wants to. So we would have to look for the longes word in general. But such a word doesn't exist, because many languages can build infinite composita, and descriptive mathematical or chemical terms can reach any lenght in any language.
Have a look ;)

We would have to allow to take 30 Letters each turn; and you could put back 10 letters to take another 10.

I am still interested to meet.

I'd be interested in a US meet. Not sure how possible it would be, a lot depends on location, date, travel schedule, vacation days, etc.
War is not the answer...unless the question is, 'What is not the answer?'

Would be a great thing, too.
Just take your time, plan it a year or two ahead, so everybody really interested should be able to sort schedules out.

And of course you should not restrict it to the US, but include Canada and Mexico.
Or would this be unrealistic? I dunno. Distances in America are bigger than here in Europe, but then again, inhabitants are more used to it, and transportation is more adapted to it.
Have a look ;)
