Ragner's post about what he's doing got me talking about what I'm reading so I thought I'd see what others are reading.

I'm halfway through Bernard Cornwell's Saxon Stories and am loving them (just finished Sword Song). I'm taking my time though. I'm using them to help me get through my mates Terry Pratchett books by reading two of them for every Bernard book  I've also grabbed his Warlord Chronicles, Grail Quest and a few other standalone books.

I'm always reading at least three things paralelelelelelelly for different moods.
Currently it's
- GRR Martin's A Song of Ice & Fire - A Clash of Kings (to be continued through the entire series)
- Terry Pratchett's Interesting Times (continuing through the entire Discworld opus)
- and comic books (mostly Marvel TPB's - in Germany, we are being treated by an awesome HC collection with some of the best Marvel stories throughout the universe)

for now interrupted, but to be continued:
Wolfgang Hohlbein's Enwor Saga, at book 8 of 11: Der Flüsternde Turm. Awesome SF/Fantasy (yes, both!) allegoric novel series incorporating space god and post-atomic waste themes.

I'm currently reading these books too. I really struggled with them after the third book. I'm half way through the 2nd Dance with Dragons book but haven't picked it up in a few weeks.

I also need to go back and finish the Hobbit. My copy of it is divided into 2 books (Is that normal?) and I only ever read the first one :?

I'm working through several things right now:
Audio book of Homeland by R.A. Salvatore
Vampire of the MIsts by Christie Golden (a ravenloft novel)
The Pleasures of God by John Piper
Audio book of Legend of Sleepy Hollow, read by Tom Mison from the tv show Sleepy Hollow

Kind of ADD, I suppose, but somehow I'm making it work. Not going very quickly, mind you, but it's working
just the same.

I'm currently reading Maskerade. I think I'm getting to a point where I'm reading them just to have read them. I certainly find some things amusing but some of the stories I haven't enjoyed as much as I'd hoped. My mate loves them. He'll happily sit in the throne for an hour reading them.

The Road Warrior wrote:I really struggled with them after the third book.

A lot of people struggled with A Feast for Crows because it was mostly about characters people didn't have an attachment to or wanted to know what was going on around the place even though it's important. It's certainly worth battling through. I think I'll be getting The World of Ice and Fire when it's available.

I'm currently on Leningrad: State of Siege. For those who aren't familiar with WWII history, look up what happened in that time to the people of Leningrad. Nothing else like it in history.
I'm also on the occasional Simpson's comic now that I've got several on my phone. :)

I thought Interesting Times was good. I like most of the Discworld books I've read. As soon as I'm done with my current list of books, I hope to get back to those.

My list:
The Photoshop Lightroom 5 Book for Digital Photographers (exciting, I know)
Making my way through the Song of Ice and Fire books for the second time. Currently on Feast of Crows. When I last read them, he only had the first three written.
The Serenity comic books
The Complete Calvin and Hobbes

The Discworld novels get better and better. It's not even starting with Interesting Times, which in TP's standard is not even mediocre. He learned his techniques writing Men At Arms and Hogfather, gradually evolvong a style first seen in The Fifth Elephant. The books become really through the roof with Monstrous Regiment, Going Postal, or Nightwatch. The series gets grittier without losing its humor and humanism.

No it's not. You got tricked into buying two books!

I'm currently digging through the entire library of HP Lovecraft.
Interesting stuff, but a bit same-y once you really get into it.

Hopefully it's not a novelization of the films. Oh the humanity!
