Yup. lol is a word in Dutch, meaning fun. so it's actually logical :P

As far as i witnessed "lol", it was built into other words a lot by indians. So much you would get the impression they bubble bubble bubble underwater while speaking. However, i still understand. Somehow.

Yeah, my mother used to think that lol meant "lots of love" and sent it to me whenever she had bad news. She'd send messages like "Sorry but you have to make your own dinner tonight. LoL". Thought she was being sarcastic until she texted some condolences to my friend. Awkward...

Oh!! I've always intended LOL as "Lot Of Laughs"... and not "Laughing Out Loud"! Is something wrong with me too?

Those two are almost the same thing so it doesn't matter.
But "Lots of Lovin'" is something else if you get it from your mother-in-law.
