that only happens if you spray too much in one go. Be patient, apply 3 very very thin layers, and be sure to let each layer dry up well.

THAT! And the humidity thingy... :gargoyle:

I spent the weekend cleaning all of the mini's in Keller's Keep of their mold lines. Took with me to work today and used the paint booth in the back to prime them. (We use it for refurbishing gear networking equipment.) They look killer. I did three really thin coats. Only downside is that I now see that I totally missed a mold line on the a Firmir's arm. Going to have to take it off and then I'll do a quick shot of primer on the spot. Hopefully it doesn't look weird afterwards.

One of the most annoying parts about cleaning them up is the big plastic circle on all of their backs. Took me forever to remove it and smooth it out.

don't worry about the mold line. just use a brush with regular black paint on it. Done it many times. even removed mold lines after priming when I discovered I completely forgot to do so.

not a bad start. I like the eyes :)
Make sure you make pictures in daylight without flash, and try making close-ups (filling most of the screen with the model), so we get better pictures here ;)

The closer I get to it the more you can see how terrible it is! :D

That was a quick cell phone pic. I'll try and get some better ones once I finish the base and a couple more highlights. I appreciate the kind words though!

That's really not too shabby for a first try.
Gives me some courage, I admit.

The skin is well done with different shades and shadows. Now WHY is the shirt just plain color?! :gargoyle:

yup, add shading to the clothes, and always start with the eyes. white/red/yellow eyes, then the pupils, then the edges. then apply the skin colour over the outer edges of the eyes. work from inside out.

and please don't drown your bases in pebbles... paint them and add a FEW pebbles perhaps, or use milliput to create a tile. tiny bits of moss or grass peeping between the tiles perhaps, but not this :(
