My son wanted to do a D&D campaign for his birthday party. Since he is the only one of his 10 year old class who has played, we have talked him down to doing a HQ derivative game. Character sheets will have the basic actions written on them since there is going to be lots of spare room (and there is really only going to be one item per player that can be gained during the quest). Even then I expect there to be at least one child who has no idea how to roll dice or move pawns about the board. Got ten days to finish it.

This birthday game begs for a battle report. Gold coins and artifacts--what a great gift!

Cornixt for potions, get little vials filled with juice or something for players to drink when they use them.

We've got twenty different hero models for them to choose from - right now we are expecting between 4-7 players so the rules are going to be adjusted so that it's not just a horde of people killing everything in sight. There's going to be a bit of roleplaying added in, but it will essentially be an on-rails quest, although it won't be obvious that it is. I'll post the rules after the event so I can point out any failings that occur. Maybe i'll polish it up so that other people can use it easily in the future.

It's been far too long but #ProgressIsBeingMade. My quick-n-durty napkin calc is that's ~60,000ft² of dungeon in those two photos. Still a bit of work ahead of me but it's all much faster than everything that came before this point. Once I've conquered this to completion I have a few HQ crafts that need to be completed.
