Today's the day I'm going to start painting some of my new minis to match the colors of the originals. I'm not confident enough to actually paint anything, so I've decided to keep everything one color as in the original base game, but I'm painting my newer minis to match. So the DragonStrike goblins, which are Hobgoblins in my game, are getting painted Orc/Goblin Green, the DragonStrike Death Knights are getting painted Undead White, and one of each of the player figures are getting painted Hero Red. I've also go to rebase my Skaven onto some Zealot bases to match the HQ style and I'll be painting them brown.

I decided to go with light gray for mine.

I liked Goblin-King's idea of all beasts being brown, so I'm doing Bugbears, Beastmen, Trolls, Minotaurs, and maybe other traditional monsters and normal animals in brown, but I found a lighter brown that I wanted for Skaven/rats to separate them as their own thing (much like all greenskin are the same green). I'll use that for Rat Ogres, Grey Seers, Giant Rats, and Rat Swarms as well (when I buy some). But in gerenatl, I like that we've got the same idea of giving new monsters colors by groups to keep with the original coloring since, much like yourself, I don't consider myself an artist of enough caliber to feel good about fully painting them.

I think of the Troll as being a greenskin.

That's really well done GK. I need to get back to painting my minis... This is spurring me in the right direction.

I decided for my New Years Resolution that I paint a minimum of 365 miniatures in a year. I have created an excel sheet detailing my progress and this Dragon was the first thing out of the gates for 2018! I wanted to do something special and a single unit for New Years and the Dragon from Dungeon Saga sprang to mind. This will hopefully be the start of me painting all of my DS kickstarter... but that may have to get in the Q

I have also painted an entire 18 man team for Dreadball 2 which I received in the post a couple of days ago. So by 2nd January I have clocked up 19 miniatures. A good start by my reckoning |_P
Please PM me if any of my old links to files are currently down. I am in the process of hosting them somewhere new!

:)

Cool Dragon, and very nicely painted.

Are you planning to use it for HQ? If so, let us know what stats you would use and whether it has any special rules as a Blue Dragon.
