Nice Beholder! Wish I had sculpting skills. I had to pay out the nose for my beholder.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Yeah, that's safer cause as a painter you're more flexible then and can do whatever you want.
Sculpted pupils on this thing would, frank quitely, piss me off and I wouldn't buy it.
I like this, but I also rather like the Reaper Bones version. Bound to be a metal version, too.

I rather like that one too. Especially the fact that it has an *Play-Doh factory*!
But I'm too OCD to disregard the missing eye stalks on the reaper mini. It only got 4 eye stalks and then 2 weird displacer beast tentacles.
If it just had the 11 eyes it would be perfect.

You are looking at the wrong model GK. KK is referring to the Reaper Bones Mini called "Eye Beast", and you are looking at the "Tyrant of Darkness". I see your point about the Tyrant of Darkness. Adding displacer beast tentacles sounds like the mash-up on the cover of the 2nd edition Monstrous Compendium.

The Eye Beast has 7 eyes on stalks... Never looked too closely at it to think of a Play-Doh Factory. But I do see that now!! He is "walking" on the other 3 stalks, or maybe he's just looking for really small heroes that might be lurking in the base? There are a few really good paint jobs on this guy... which I cannot understand. My GW paint becomes a shiny mess on these Bones models. I will never buy more and would wait for the metal version like KK says.
Has resigned from the forum and would delete his account if he could.

This looks very nice. I don't know if you ever would want to go back to this idea, but what about some modularity? Keep the rooftop without a room, but also make separate room overlays; they can then be mixed and placed individually on the rooftop as the interior is explored.

Now I'mthinking of a real skulpted pupil, i. e. a really deep depression, plus a sculpted iris, plus a clear shiny layer over the whole eye (Uhu?)...

Great sculpting skills there, GK!

If some constructive critic is still welcome, the teeth fit together in a strange manner - he's probably able to bite someone, but no to bite something off.
Have a look ;)
