That is correct actually. You can make a Marilyth if you also ordered the giant Cobra. That one has a snake head, snake body and basket. You can put the head in the basket, and use the snake body with the Marilyth torso + head. Then you can use the scropion body with the scorpion head :)

Quality is important to us. One of the reasons we moved to smaller Type 2 figures for our 2nd KickStarter is so that we could improve the qualtity of the castings. However that lesson we learned does not mean at all that you should have to accept a figure that you are not happy with the quality of the casting.

Please both of you feel free to contact us if there is a figure in your reward that you feel the casting on was unacceptable and I'll work to get it replaced for you with one that is a better quality as soon as possible.

This project was a new style of sculpting, a new manner of sculpting and an entirely new casting material for us ... so there were multiple learning curves. However Impact! is not a company that sends items to their customers and then moves on ... if you are not happy ... it is important to me to work to fix that problem. So please feel free to contact me with any figures that you do not feel can be fixed and we'll get them fixed for you.

...but the important point to me is ... we are learning them and working to make sure they get fixed.

So Sjeng ... happy to send you an acne free Venger if you want to get hold of me.

Tom @ Impact!

Wow, well, first of all, I'm very happy you took the trouble of actually joining out forum to discuss this, and secondly, that's some incredible customer service!

Tom, I live in the Netherlands, so I don't want to burden you with extra costs, and I will see how well I will fare with cleaning up the minis. Those I like, I'll keep, and those I don't I'll sell. I just need to learn how to fix minis. So far I only did little things with Milliput such as bases, and have never used greenstuff. I also never had to pin arms or legs to a mini. But at some point I'm going to want to do that anyway, so these are my learning project.
The toughest one will be the attaching of the snake connector parts to the bodies and heads. Those look really awkward. I figure they need a big blob of greenstuff inbetween them.

Should I encounter problems I really can't fix, I'll let you know. (Might be a while before I really get to doing this anyway... So many minis!). Thanks again for taking the trouble to contact us here! |_P

Understood and I appreciate the thought ... but when a review of our product gets posted where there was a problem before I'm given any opportuntity to fix before the review is written ... this happens:

knightkrawler wrote:Impact! miniatures... Another company never going to get any money from me.

Which can add up to a decent amount of lost revenue for a company that is only one guy running thus every dollar counts (yup no employees ... just me (and my wife when I need a helping hand)). I'd much rather pay for postage to make your and drathe's order to your satisification that have the negative online review that end up costing me much more than the postage to fix any issues you have.

That's why I do monthly Google and Bing searches for our company (I found this thread through my October Google search). If I find threads with good stuff ... we try to do more of it. If we find threads with ... "I wish they did this" ... we see if we can make it. And if I find threads like this one ... I do everything I can to fix it the problem completely.

I really do feel this is a good miniatures line for the Type 1 figures and have been really happy to see in our Facebook thread the number of good looking paint jobs we've seen on the Type 1s so far.

The toughest one will be the attaching of the snake connector parts to the bodies and heads. Those look really awkward. I figure they need a big blob of greenstuff inbetween them.
Understood ... that was really an effort for an end run. Keep in mind the Cobra comes with two middles ... you only need one of them. The other goes with the Scorpion Queen if you are converting her to a Snake Demoness. The Cobra if we were not discontinuing it would be getting a complete redo. As it stands ... when we get inventory low on that figure we plan on having the bottom of the snake redone to merge the snake tail with the snake midsection as one piece since we won't need the midsection anymore as a seperate piece to allow the Giant Cobra + Scorpion Queen to create Giant Scorpion / Snake Demoness / Basket Cobra. With the Basket Cobra discontinued ... we can just have the Snake Demoness be created as a 3 piece figure instead of 4. So consider that an apology for the some assembly required for that one ... but it was what we needed to do at that time to get the backers something they really wanted and keep to our agreement for the KickStarter rewards we made with 3rd parties.

Should I encounter problems I really can't fix, I'll let you know. (Might be a while before I really get to doing this anyway... So many minis!). Thanks again for taking the trouble to contact us here! |_P
Not a problem. No one should ever worry about getting something from Impact! ... I make it my top priority to make sure our customers are satisified even if I have to track them down to find out about their problems. ;)

^^ Bolding and increased font was added on my part but it about sums up what I got from reading that. If a company is really taking time to go out of their way to make sure they have happy customers and are willing to listen to them they should get tons of support from their customers. I'll openly admit that I haven't got anything from Impact and haven't really taken a look but I already respect them more than a few Greedy Workshop companies out there.

Edit: He snuck his second post in before I could get mine finished but it still reinforces what I think about Impact. They just got an :redheart: extra heart container in my book.

Well... I revisited my first judgment about Impact! miniatures because of their quick and honest response to disappointed customers.
Still, not my cup of tea, those chibi minis.

 That I understand knightkrawler. Chibi is definitely not for everyone.

I'm just glad to have you back as a possible future customer if we do have something you like.

I'll get behind good product, the manufacturer ist most of the time just that.
There's one company I boycott.
Everyone else gets their chance when there's product to be liked and money to be spent.

I wish your company all the best, Tom!
