I very much like the bass myself. I only play air-bass (fingers only) and my favourite bassist is Geddy Lee from Rush. Extremely talented musician. Another bassist I worship is the Swedish demigod Leif Edling, the leader of the band Candlemass, the doomest band ever, whose music by the way is great for HeroQuest. For those of you who doesn't know, their first album is named "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus".

I play several genres and the CD's I listed include jazz, blues, rock, modern folk and word music. I like Geddy Lee too, and a few years ago I saw Rush live and sat about ten feet away from Geddy's rack of bass guitars. I was so tempted to reach out and pluck a string, but it's probably best that I didn't.
Maybe your hands are telling you that it's time to take up the real thing
