Well it does so because of sites like this one. Thank you drathe. It's good to see you popping back in for a minute.

Been on and off of various sites for HQ, AHQ, and WHQ over the ages, but Ye Olde Inn is still the first and foremost resource for me. Rarely posts, but loved the custom quests, and when I converted HQ to Roll20, it was the best place for resources that I knew of. Almost everything already exists in some format here, preserving HQ and it's ilk for the ages - hopefully.

I remember very briefly finding Agin's Inn in 2002-2003 when I was in high school on one of the spare 5 minutes I had internet access during computer class.
Fast forward to 2007. I got a laptop as part of my college equipment, and one of the first things I did was search for Hero Quest stuff. I ended up hanging around Old Scratch's forum (rest in peace) for a while, then eventually migrated over here when the two communities reached approximately equal levels of activity.

I consider the three years during which I playtested Slev's "Hero Quest Revised" to be the height of my involvement in this community. Other hobbies have moved in to occupy my time in recent years, but I still do some Questing from time to time.
I confess I haven't posted much of anything over the past year, but I have been fastidiously lurking and watching the stuff people make.
Maybe 2021 will be Count Mohawk's great Hero Quest revival - we'll just have to wait and see!

Technically it should be Internet search for HeroQuest for me since I discovered the site a decade ago even if I didn't start yapping here at the time. But I've returned because of the 2021 release rekindling interest in what I've been missing.

I dug out my original 1991 copy last March to finally start paying it. I found rush the wash on YouTube looking for inspiration and he mentioned he printed out missing items from ye old inn. So glad I saw his video. I have printed and pasted pretty much all of the expansion tiles, cards and books. Thanks so much for all the hard work that you guys have put into this hobby. I'll be posting my progress soon.

Same as most people. I have had my HQ board game travel with me all over the place as I got older. A few years ago I stumbled upon this site using google search for hero quest in general. I lurked and creeped for awhile and then finally joined the community. Love coming back here to see people are still talking about it.

I used this site to print and build all the packs that I didn't have. I only had the original board set and the Return of the Witch Lord. I purchased a ton of figures online and spent quite a few hours cutting out tiles.

I have a complete set now and am playing it with some friends who never played it before, they love it

In all honesty, I googled it after my uncle (who is only six years older than I am) got his hands on a copy and we played it again after something like 20 years. I was originally searching how much it would cost me to get a used copy, so I could pitch the idea to my ex-wife to get me one for my birthday of Christmas, and managed to find my way here. Then I never left.

I was on several other HQ sites before, but they were all in the one or the other way defunct.
one was going straight off. One had no activity. One had activity, but was secretly dedicated to the special version of HQ that the owner loves most.

Then I overcame my language barrier and came here just to be awed by all the caves full of content.

Then somehow both trapped me, to have a game that I could fully & wholly encompass within my sparse hobby time, but which is NOT as stupid as, let's say... zombicide. And which is simple enough to expand on my own - if games had motor oil, I would have black fingers most of the time, and Heroquest is perfect for someone like me.

And the second point that trapped me was the community. Having been on several Warhammer forums and Electronics forums, I was used to be super-very-careful because of the toxicity that could sometimes come back from those corners of the net. Then I was seeing the people here. And relaxed.

Nowadays I am more on Facebook caring for our community over there, but the content, and meaningful postings, are still here.

I had the OG NA HeroQuest when I was a tween and held on to it throughout high school playing it often. I had the first two NA expansions. I left it behind when I went to college and never saw it again. At 27, in 2007, I bought a used copy on eBay for $60 to start a game with my friends. Already at that time the expansions were hard to find and getting expensive. My friends and I played 30+ quests from 2007-2012. It was during that time I found Agin’s Inn and printed off everything I needed for the expansions. I’ve continued to play on and off since 2012. With the relaunch this year, it’s brought me back to the Inn and after lurking for so long, I finally decided to join. It’s a good time to be a HeroQuest fan!
