Hello from Blackpool England

Postby Okko » Wednesday September 26th, 2018 4:44am

Hi thought I would introduce myself from Blackpool England. Just decided to rediscover Heroquest . Used to play it back in the early days of its release. I Never could get into Dungeons and Dragons etc mainly due to never been bothered to learn the rules. But Heroquest was bright and colourful and more importantly could play it with my wife and work colleagues with ease. Totally amazed it has now taken on such an iconic status and following! Brilliant website and all credit to the people behind it.

I'd be totally amazing if it hadn't to be honest, it was a bit special.

I'm gonna do some research on the exact geography of Blackpool now, in order to imagine your posts spoken with an accent.

Glad you've decided to join our community. I know what you mean about Hero Quest's accessibility. Unlike you, I had first played D&D back in the day. But I also have fond memories of playing Hero Quest with our wider group of friends once HQ hit the table. This game was meant to be shared as a roleplaying substitute, and it does that wonderfully.
