"Wow it has been too long since I've tasted the blood of the hero."
Just want to tell you my story.
I first was introduced to Hero Quest when I was 18 when some kid that used to hang out at my apt. came over with this amazing game. I only had the chance to run through a few levels and that opportunity faded away. Years went by and I kept checking the game stores and here and there I would find it. Damn, $70 for a game I thought, in my juvenile mind, that was too much. More and more years went by and now I am 31 with 3 boys of my own (5, 6 and 8). What luck while I was cruising around Boise, Id that I found a game store and went in to look for it. Saddened not to see this epic game on the shelves I thought to give the chance of asking the manager if he could identify the game. "Sounds like Hero Quest" and the light erupted in my head. Yes...yes it was Hero Quest that I have been looking for all this time. He said that it was no longer in production. Ebay would be my first stop. Low and behold the 70 I would have paid back when I was younger would have been a deal. I purchased the base Hero Quest game off of Ebay for $100 and brought it home to my three boys. The first and second time they went through the First Quest I slaughtered them and instructed them to stick together, only as a team can you accomplish the end (what a wonderful lesson in life). Just last weekend, after some added stats and a 1000 gold to buy any weaponry they wanted for their character, they successfully marched, as a team, to victory through the first quest. I can't begin to tell you about how exited they are and ask me all of the time to play, what a wonderful game. I have recently added Return of Witch Lord expansion to the collection and hope to end up with all of the expansion sets. There are many years to come of gaming enthusiasm. I love the opportunity to fulfill that lust for questing I had as a youth through the eyes of my kids.
