Greetings and Advanced Heroquest heroes found

Postby oldmorcarsmaze » August 27th, 2016, 3:28 am

Greetings forum members of Ye Old Inn.

As previously posted I've recently rediscovered the joys of Heroquest from digging out my copy last weekend. I've also been going through old photos of minis painted over the last 10 years and was delighted to find these guys. I bought them from ebay second hand I believe and painted them to the best of my ability. My painting skills have since depleted as I've got older and my hands tend to shake a little. I'd like to get the skill back so I'm going to start painting again.

Awesome.
I love seeing those guys well-painted time and time again.
As I said in your other thread, a solid foundation, too.
I sure hope you'll find the time and skill again cause I like what I'm seeing here.
I also like the base style. Easy and effective as a contrast and really nice but not distracting to look at.

Thanks for sharing. And continue doing that when you find more pictures.
Doesn't have to have anything to do with HQ, everything painted or crafted is fine.

Cheers lads. Seeing as you asked so nicely here's some Dark Angels painted just this morning. I'm trying to use natural light now and trying my best to neaten up. More Heroquest painting as it happens. Space Marines for now. These days I'm asking myself before buying a mini if I can actually paint it. I find simpler is better for me.

I dare say I'll find a use for these in Heroquest sometime. Night Goblins. Finished today.

Aaaah, nice.
I've always liked these models very much. Some of the more interesting creations of GW, instant classics really.
Neat paintjob, too. Even the pink is not off because, well, :goblin:

Ha :) they remind me of the gremlins from the computer game Heroes of Might and Magic III.

Excellent paint job.
