The first quest we played was the Rescue of Sir Ragnar's Daughter (the name needs work). But the story Mimics that of Conan the Destroyer, with a young maiden haven been kidnapped and brought before a ritual to be sacrificed for a summoning of great evil. I was hesitant to tell the Zargon's of Ragnar's defection in the European version.

So we started off in this room, being told that we can hear hoots and howles from the door beyond. Being the Wizard, compliant of my weak attacks decided to search for traps, to which Aaron remarked, "I don't think there's ever traps in the first room." Asides from a few quests in Mage of the Mirror, this is usually true.
Cleric followed suit searching for secret doors.
The Barbarian, Dwarf and Elf then charged into the next room, stumbling across the 4 goblins playing Knuckle Bones, their attack took out 3, leaving 1 goblin to attack the Dwarf.
On my next move I ran in beside the goblin and took a shot with my attack, surprisingly rolling a

, killing the last goblin.
The Cleric and Barbarian followed up with trap and treasure searches (he found a potion of healing).
Aaron, the Dwarf rolled high, headed out the door and to the next room, having just enough to make it outside next door. However, he opened it to see the two Orcs sitting at the table. They'd be coming after him on Zargon's turn.
The Elf didn't go far on his roll and I suggested he cast Veil of Mist on the Barbarian because on Zargon's turn that door would be blocked off and we'd all waste out turns waiting for the Dwarf.
As predicted the Orc blocked off the door, attacking the Dwarf.
I backed up the Barbarian, ensuring he'd get access to the room by casting Swift Wind on top of his Veil of Mist.
Amber, the Cleric searched for secret doors, finding none.
But Jeff had his moment to shine using Veil of Swift Wind Mist, got into the room to fight the other Orc.
Unfortunately due to the Dwarf's position Aaron was unable to see that the room was expanded... The Barbarian could now see that that wall was not there and we had more baddies to face, including a massive Ogre preparing a stew.
On the Dwarf's turn he successfully killed the orc blocking the door and made it into the room. The Ogre only had 4 movement so I urged him to move against the wall to avoid being attacked by it.
The Elf stayed outside the door, to avoid the Ogre's grasp.
The green skins made their attacks.
I turned to Amber, the Cleric beside me. "I'm going to attack this Ogre with Genie, I want you to cast sleep on him after my go."
This was unnecessary. The whole table howled in austere joy after I ran in, cast Genie and rolled

.
The Ogre had 0

's and our Zargon looked on in awe, saying he had never seen anyone one-shot his Ogre before. This tale would make it around to the administrators before the end of the night. Upon his death the Ogre dropped an Elixir of Life, which I claimed.
In the next 2 turns the rest of the heroes cleared out the room from the rest of the monsters.

After our searches we eventually left that room. Cleric was the first out, searching for traps in the hallway, spotting the falling block trap. The Dwarf barely had enough movement to reach it and successfully disarm the trap.
Continuing on it was the Dwarf that made it to the next room first, seeing a throne, bookcase and fireplace. A trap search revealed nothing. Cleric was next in that room and discovered a Sleep spellscroll in the bookcase. The Elf discovered a secret door.
I went further down the hallway on my next turn and was alarmed to be facing 2 fimirs/abominations. Standing outside the door I tried to cast Ball of Flame, but apparently our Zargon took issue with this, staying I must be in the room to do so... We argued a bit, but he's Zargon so I relented and retreated.
Jeff and David (Barbarian and Dwarf) would charge to the room as a big battle would ensue as the next 3 rooms were connected, they faced off against 3 Fimirs, 6 Orcs and 1 Goblin. My contribution to this fight was casting Courage on the Dwarf and Rock Skin to Barbarian.
The Cleric would join the fray as well attempting to cast Sleep on an Orc, but the spell did not take hold as Zargon rolled a 6. I would head back to the other room where I found the Elf dawning Boron's Armor, which he found in the secret room. So I cast Pass Through Rock on him, so he could run through the fireplace into the adjacent room and help our team fight off the green skins.
I would make it in there as their numbers diminished attempting to attack with my Dagger, but failed to land any hits. The Cleric also cast her Sleep spell on an Orc during the fighting but it didn't take hold.
After the fighting was done a shield was discovered on the weapons rack, the Cleric cast Water of Healing on herself and I cast Heal Body on the Dwarf. Knowing we'd have another battle ahead of us and that I was down to 3 a spells I asked the Cleric to give me her sleep spell scroll, as she'd be more useful in combat then I would.

It was around this time that we were informed that there was only 15 minutes left for the quest. Upon opening the door I suggested we all hurry along to the central chamber. The Barbarian did not heed my suggestion and ran into the room across to face the undead. The Cleric would join him as undead was his specialty. This left the Elf, Dwarf and myself heading for the Central chamber. The Dwarf was the first to make it to the door and opened it to see the ritual taking place.
Ragnar's daughter wa atop the alter with the high priest holding his dagger. The cultists were chanting and the Chaos Warriors guarding.
Zargon informed us that we had 4 turns before I the ritual was completed.
Spontaneously the Dwarf made a B-line for the high pries, sacrificing himself to end the ritual. He even rolled 2

s when attacking the high priest. But with 5 defense dice, 2

s blocked the blow.
The Elf tried to follow but rolled short on movement and was unable to land adjacent to a monster. So he cast Sleep on a Chaos Warrior, which surprisingly took hold.
However, the Dwarf was now surrounded and attacked by 2 Chaos Warriors, 1 Cultist and the high priest... He only had 2 defense dice!
On my turn I ran into the room and utilized my spells, cast Ball of Flame on the High Priest,

&

! The high priest was killed and ritual stopped! But we were still overrun by Chaos Warriors and cultists. We needed back-up.
In the other room the Cleric continued working on the undead, but Barbarian sensed out need for a strong fighter and rolled

, charging his way down the hall and into the ceremonial chamber, attacking a Chaos Warrior.
The Dwarf's short sword didn't help much against the armored Chaos Warriors. The Elf used his action to cast Water of Healing on the Dwarf.
On Zargon's turn the Chaos warrior stayed asleep and the Dwarf was beaten back down to 2 BP. The Elf and Barbarian took little or no damage.
On my turn I cast Tempest on a Chaos Warrior, attempting to give the Dwarf a reprieve.
Cleric took out the last of the undead in the other room but he never searched for secret doors and that room was left unexplored.
Barbarian, Dwarf and Elf all focused attacks on Chaos warriors. But the Dwarf's 2 AD weren't doing much damage. The Chaos Warrior and Cultist took the Dwarf down to 0BP and he has to use an extra life token to stay in the game. The other Chaos Warrior finally woke up...
Only to fall back asleep as I used the Sleep spell scroll, knocking him out.
The Cleric made it to the room and started working on the cultists.
The Barbarian took out a Chaos Warrior and the Elf ran over to help the Dwarf fight off his.
Bad guys attack, no deaths. Chaos Warrior stays asleep.
I attempt to stab a sleeping Chaos Warrior with my dagger, but fail.
Cleric takes out a cultist.
Barbarian helps with the sleeping Chaos Warrior.
The Elf and the Dwarf bring a Chaos warrior down to 1BP.
On Zargon's turn Barbarian was brought down to 0 BP and drank his potion of healing to roll a

.
On my turn I cast my final spell, Fire of Wrath on the Chaos Warrior with 1 BP, finishing him off. Eventually the Chaos Warriors and cultists were defeated and Ragnar's daughter was saved. But we were all only given 80 coins a piece for the rescue.
It was a fun quiet, we had a good time.
