Hi,
I played this game some 30 years ago, I'm now back with to it with friends and was wondering if there are any new rules or rules for adults?
Thanks in advance
Bigbob

Hi and welcome,
what do you mean by rules for adults? Sip-and-Strip-HQ?

Lots of new rules... All over this forum. It's a quest with init self gathering them together. Only the truest adventurer will enrich his game the most.

Please explain "adult rules"

Do you mean more advanced rules, new skills, spells, character progression?
Or were you in fact looking for Strip-Quest?

Hi, welcome aboard.

There were no advancement rules available in the originals. But there was a section for designing your own quests at the back of the quest book in the base set.

On this site there are a myriad of various homebrew rules, alterations and additions.

The original and the expansions provide for a lot of games. Once you get past them there are a number of good dungeons here on the Inn.

Remember that Quest Notes over ride all other rules. Add that to the fact the designers intended for you to make your own quests. Rock on.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Adult rules - MAN we could have SOOOO much fun creating homebrew rules for that.
I mean, there IS actually a Book of Erotica for roleplaying games (D&D 3.5 rules). I've
checked it out - it's kind of messed up....diseases, S&M, all that crap.

So...umm....who's thinking we need a special thread for this?

No pun intended ... :?

I think the beauty of HQ is its simplicity, its great to not get bogged down in rules and you get a fast paced game that way. Perhaps take a look at (dare i say it) Advanced Heroquest if you want more?

Ok, maybe asked for some of those answers!!!
What do i mean, i only played heroquest. The maze was the 1st quest and in my opinion was the hardest quest out of that book.
so now where?
i have got a copy of the witch lord, kellars keep and agaist the orge horde! was/is there any new rules for these quests?
i read about colored heroquest dice making the quests harder, as anybody around here used these dice and was the game more of a challenge?
cheers
