Hi, i thought i'd introduce myself after lurking in a dark corner of the inn listening to conversations. I'm from Lancashire in England. I recently discovered this site and its great content has reignited my interest in Heroquest after a 20 year or so absence from the game. Of corse i realize now it can be more than a game but a hobby too.
I dug out from the attic all my old Heroquest stuff, i have all the extentions apart from the barbarian and elf ones.
With 2 young sons growing up and keen for them to enjoy it one day, i plan on putting my own stamp on the game to hopefully improve the immersiveness of Heroquest.
So what do i have planned?
I aim to build a 3d Heroquest board using Hirst Arts molds. Much like the one Sandman is doing in the project room. Perhaps i will build a dice tower too.
I want to replace and customize most of the baddies, i hate the fact all my Orcs look like clones!
I will do away with anything cardboard, either furniture or tile. I hope my Zealot kickstarter pledge will take care of most of this.
And i want to paint all of the above to a half decent fashion.
Anyway enough of me, how many gold coins do i owe for the ale kind sir?
