Hello all! Recently discovered HeroQuest a few months ago (literally Googled for nerd board games). Thought I would give it a try and someone was kind enough on another forum to give me their copy for free. Boy was it a blast! Me and my wife are 5 quests in and usually play 1-2 quests every Friday night, alternating between Heroes and Morcar.

I love it so much that I'm currently trying to track down all the expansions and am working on building a 3D board and wooden chest to hold the game (after seeing some inspiration from this forum!). I will post about that when I get further in.

All-in-all, for someone new to table-top gaming, I'm glad I wasn't disappointed in my first choice!

-Josh

Is your wife a good painter? She might enjoy painting all the minis too!
Check out THAT aspect.

Ya, HQ is a pretty dam good game; far better than Monopoly.

You made a good choice! HQ is a timeless game that always was and always will be AWESOME!

Don't expect to be handed a free copy of the NA exclusive expansions though
Those things go for crazy high prices!

Welcome and I good choice indeed. I still enjoy a drink and snacks with friends playing a quest and talking all kinds if we're up for a night in.

Look forward to your search and building of your collection in general :)

Thanks for the positive welcome. Can't wait to dig into the painting aspect of the game either. The red, green, and white just aren't doing it for me!
