edit: I dunno what happened there, but all pics of the 3 minis I've done so far are up-disregard.

A belated welcome! That's awesome you've been into it for quite awhile. I'm one of those weirdos who didn't really discover the joys of gaming/miniatures/gaming miniatures till my mid-life crisis. But my wife supports it, because my midlife crisis interest could have been a convertible and a blonde (her words).

"Sjeng" is Finnish and can be roughly translated into "throbbing thing under the shadow of the cloak".

Well you can still have that. Get them as minis paint them up and then one day tell your wife something like

That's when pull them out and show them to her. Just make sure you have them hidden in the garage or somewhere so it can be believable. Pulling them out of a closet wont be as dramatic.
