Just went scrolling Evilbay too see what minis I could buy and then paint for the exchange this year...
Now to come up with an idea for this year... :?

I don't see a problem with that, as long as the 3D printed figure of acceptable quality.

I've seen 3D Printed figures last year too, so just take care they are printed in a decent way.
No particular level of paint skill is required, it has always been so. The rules say the miniature must be painted. Just (please) put a little bit of passion and effort when you paint it.

Rules say a figure that fits in with HeroQuest. If the quality is up to par, I don’t see an issue.

As in sculpt quality or painted quality?

Paint quality - must be painted, just do your best
