Just an idea.
When everyone has received their minis and posted photo's, would it be fun to have a poll and vote on which mini is the best painted?
Or would this just make it too competetive i wonder?

Could be fun, but I guess it would shift the idea of the exchange to a form of competition. Personally, I wouldn't change anything on the figure that I would send even if I knew it's gonna be voted on afterwards. I think that in order to get more people to join it shouldn't have the "vote the best one" phase because it might make people not wanna join if they think they're not good enough painters.

Having said that, I can tell you now that the figure I'm sending this year will be the best of the best. I have something really good lined up. So no voting is needed anyway.

I'm gonna say Nay to the vote idea.
I think over the years we have cultivated the sentiment that everyone could and should participate no matter their painting skill level.
It's not as much about getting a well painted miniature, as it's about getting a small gift from a fellow HeroQuest fan.
Let's keep the competitive element out of the Christmas Exchange.

But by all means... Let's do a painting competition at some point as a separate event so I can destroy tasoe!

I think this is a great idea. So here's how it will work:

1: Everyone paints a mini to the best of their ability

2: Everyone stock their mini in a well protected package and posts their mini to me

3: I decide which is best

4: the winner gets the worst painted mini that was sent to me

5: I keep the rest.
