Can't remember who first posted it.

Aha! Here it is. Shoulda known it was knightkrawler. :)

This thread has some good info and images.

Anyway, a volunteer started translating the Quest Book but only got through Quest 8. Somebody here started going over the various cards, and I've been going through the Rulebook.

This is coming together nicely. I hope to see a complete edited version in the same style as all the other questbooks at the Inn eventuallu.

@LordZeke: Thanks! :D

@Sjeng: Yeah, I guess the next step is to match my pseudo translation to the EU and NA rules. It definitely comes from the EU version, but there seem to be some NA tweaks. The one that comes to mind is increasing the chaos warrior's and gargoyle's BP to 2. Then again, some rules are strictly Japanese. Because they don't have Skull Tiles, if you only do 1 damage to a 2-BP monster, it automatically recovers that damage before the next attack. Essentially, you have to do 2 points of damage in a single attack to kill a 2-BP monster. It would be impossible if they made the chaos warriors and gargoyles have 3 BP! :shock:

hey look! i'm an ogre warrior now. moving up the ranks. :lol:

Been doing really well this weekend. Just finished the Intermediate Rules which took us to page 18. There's only 3 pages left plus an index page, so I'll keep working on it today and try to get the whole thing reattached to the topic post tonight. :D

@Lord Zeke-
That would be awsome!

@AerynB-
Keep it up! Sorry I haven't been too helpful. I've been busy with another translation, myself. Perhaps I'll add in some comments later.

Ok, got the Rulebook about 98% translated -- check out the topic post for the download. Page 22 is a blank board so I didn't have to translate it ;) and page 23 is an Index page so I didn't feel like translating it just yet. Maybe another day. Also, I had a lot of trouble with page 21. It sounds like tips for the Demon Lord/Evil Wizard/Mentor/Game Master/Zargon/Morcar/Grimdead player. Most of the other pages had rules I could compare to our familiar rules, but there were a few sentences on this last page that I couldn't figure out what was meant. It's probably just because I was tired and wanted the project to be over. I'll take another crack at it soon I hope.

Anyway, do enjoy. As you'll see, the Japanese rules seem to be much, much easier than what we're used to. Interesting.

Thank you for all the hard work! Really Awesome!

Now I would suggest that someone could perhaps gather all information, and recreate a US and EU quest book and rulebook. US cards are done, I could try my hand at making EU card versions as well.
Feel like doing it drathe? ;)

Some work has already been done by bastianbux here.

Once it is all completely translated, I will indeed create a full quest book for them. Rule book too. And post everything on the Homepages. I still have to add the original Japanese scans to the Japanese homepage... among other things... :bites-lip:

Thanks, drathe! That would be great! No hurry just yet, though. I'd still like someone who's more familiar with Japanese to take a look at my rough google-aided translation and approve it. Maybe that ScooterAB guy will come on back and take a look.
