Selling Lot with Base Game, Barbarian, Elf, Witch, and Keep

Hey all, I'm selling my copy from childhood. I spent the morning inventorying it using the information here (thanks for making that easy!). Everything looks to be 100% complete. I've done my best to research sold prices on ebay using completed sells.

I'd really prefer this lot to go to someone that actually will play the game and enjoy it instead of trying to resell it.

I tend to agree. While not totally outrageous, it’s still top of the mark. As though he rounded everything up then added a premium because it’s all one lot. Really...$1100 would be a pretty good price for this, I think.

Yeah, I usually post the price higher on KSL Classifieds than what I want to sell it for. People will typically reach out and ask for a price lower than what you're offering. So I post for $1,400 and people will offer $1,200 and I'll say sure. They'll be happy they got a deal of $200 off and I'll be happy I got the price I wanted.

I'm sorry if I'm hurting some feelings here - but, really...you come to a forum
all about HeroQuest and your first post...your ONLY post, is selling your sets
for some outrageous price?

I mean, if you're going to stick around, enjoy what is offered here and get
involved in some discussions about the game and the lifestyle (Yeah, that's
right - HQ is a lifestyle...), that's great.

But are you just here trying to unload your goods for as much as you can
get for it, hoping some sap on a well-known HQ forum will fall for your
game? Just run off to Craigslist or ebay and dupe someone else, already.

AND - just so you know, you are seriously violating copyright laws in the US
if you sell this with that purple binder you say you are including. Yes, it is
a nice gesture...but it is still highly illegal, especially considering you are
making money of selling it with your games.

Well....had I not already had a complete set, I would at least appreciate that he offered it here and isn’t asking $2K like the last dude. It is always nice if someone is a recognized name on here if they’re going to sell something though, but I do understand that’s not really practical if you’re looking to sell something you haven’t touched in years. And for the record, I don’t feel wierded out in the least at the inclusion of the binder. I have beautiful printed copies that have been posted on the inn in highly illegal copyright violation by the site owners. Now, if you’re copying stuff wholesale solely to sell it, that’s another matter, but as an incidental inclusion. Nah. But, that’s my opinion. I’m not getting into one of these “holier-than-thou” copyright infringement discussions. Those just get ridiculous.
