Also good additions or as replacement for original HQ minis, if you don't have those, are the Talisman 3rd edition heroes, since these are also Games Workshop / Citadel minis which have the old 28 mm scale. I don't own the Talisman game, but I bought all the Talisman plastic heroes from ebay several years ago, painted them and included them to HQ.

Great tips! I'm not finding the Warhammer 4th Ed Wood Elf bowmen on Ebay, do you see any available now? Any other good sources/boxes for old school GW minis that would work well with HQ?

Those look good but the trouble with buying other obscure minis to sub in for obscure minis seems like a losing battle for non-rich collectors!

I never looked at this Talisman game before, but it kind of looks like Heroquest Monopoly... at least I get that vibe. Ideas brewing...

Kurgan I can get two of those Elf archers for just £1 from my local hobby shop. I can grab you a couple if you like, if and when the shop is ever allowed to reopen.

I just actually got some really good recasts from an Inn member on our FaceBook page. I'll have to post pictures later once I take some. Good price too, I paid like $113 for 24 mini's. That price was included shipping.
