I have finally finished building my craft station for now and can commence progression of the case :)

Going to have to make a sample pallet of my stains to compare which color(s) work best with the aged look of the hardware.

I am curious what you mean by polish? Does that differ from varathaning it?
I'd love some ideas from people about what kind of protective outsidings others would use . Pros/cons.

The light blue and the white are out. I love the one that has nearly the same color like the HQ furniture, this orange-ish brown. On the left side, one of the two in the front.

Yesss!! the brownish on the left front looks awesome....like an old wooden chest!! Looka like the little treasure chests....the one furthest to the right looks great too, but I think the left front is my favorite.

Agreed the white is just a no. Can't imagine how dirty it would look after time with the white. And the blue is just too intense.

I'm really leaving towards those 2 front ones on the left as well. I may grab a couple more brown variations of stain from the shop. Originally I was i visioning a dep rich red. But seeing the cherry now with the hardware is just too dark.
