Not much has been happening with this project lately as I have been consumed with home renos located right where I was working on this project. Had to have an oil tank removed by cutting a 4ft x4ft hole in the wall to get it out.

But the metal hardware came in the mail a couple days ago so here is a shot of the box with the hardware loosely placed where they will be. Thinking I will be staining the box a dark red but will have to do a bunch of tests with the metal hardware to see what color will be best.

Going to be a while before my space is back to normal and I can get back to this project
But I am making a proper crafting station while doing the renos :D

Looks great! What is your source on the hardware?

I like that natural look against the hardware. Maybe a seal instead of a stain.

There are some imperfections in the wood from time and being moved around lots that the sanding could not eliminate, which currently I don't like. I'll be doing a bunch of testers with the hardware on different wood.

I feel kinda bad for merely having lurked up to now, but let me just step out of the shadows for a moment here, and say that watching this case take shape has been a pleasure so far -- from an okay-ish effort to something that's already pretty spectacular -- both that HQ logo and the addition of the wonderful metal hardware has really turned this into something special. Looking forward to witnessing any further progress!

it looks very nice. But dding some simple frames to the top and sides will increase the final result I guess.
Did you already finished the interior part too?

Any news on the project? I guess it looks really great once a bit of color is added

Interior has been untouched since I last shown a pic of it up here. It will most likely be the last thing I do as I will be waiting on the kickstarter pledge page to get my missing minis.

Sadly nothing has happened with the case lately. I am quite drained from these renos as its been a full month non stop 10-12 hrs a day and I am still not done.

I had to punch a 4ft hole in the wall so they could take the old oil tank out. Converted the area into a storage/zen room. Built a shelf for crafting equipment. Tore out the carpet and laid proper flooring. A complete overhaul of my crafting station. Added a vertical shelf on the table that's removable. Will most likely hold tools and miniature paints etc. Need to decide if I am going to remove the middle droors to make legroom like a desk or just add a "L" attachment to the table.

Once I get back to this project the outside of this case will most likely get completed long before the inside will as the layout of the inside will depend on the size of the minis I get from the kickstarter once the pledge page starts. I can probably get 3 or 4 rows done for the basic minis skeletons, orcs goblins etc while I wait for the others.

This is a before/ after of my work space
