The rule book is more or less finished! I may possibly add some more classes yet since there are only a few right now but everything I think is there :) I didn't leave enough room on the character sheet for Gold or for the current number of Fate points but gold can be recorded on the back and Fate points are limited so keeping track is easy enough and the DM could always make a note of those just in case.

Let me know what you think folks!

EDIT - I realised that I have forgotten some special attacks for the monsters which I will update asap! *facepalm* right now though it is time for bed *yawn* so good night folks!

OK cool let me know what you think :)

Some changes I will probably make are:

~ Include the original stats for the monsters, all the monsters now use custom stats which does make the earlier quest significantly harder I think.
~ Add some more classes, thinking maybe Paladin and Cleric but that would mean having to make spell cards so might not do that... not sure yet.
~ Need to finish a special breath attack for the Chaos Doomguard Gargoyle.

Everything also needs play testing to see if everything is balanced well enough etc so if anybody does decide to play using this book then firstly thank you and secondly let me know how it went :)

Once all of the above is done then I will be starting on re-doing the quest books in a similar style to the rule book to keep things consistent, I will change a few things in the books but I will probably add notes to the specific books for those (i.e. moving Orcs Bane to the quest Lair of the Orc Warlord).

Quick update! I have now included the original stats for monsters from the various quest packs in parentheses in case anybody wishes to use them, the new stats do make many of the quests a lot hard due to the number of monsters there can be in a given quest. I have also updated/finished off the Chaos Gargoyle's special breath attack (very nasty). I made a minor tweak to the character sheet since there was no name section for weapons so I have incorporated it in to the effect column which now reads "Name & Effect". Currently there are 6 available classes to pick from which seems quite a nice number without being to huge but there is room for others which I will look in to over the week end (hopefully) :)

Again if anybody does use these I hope you enjoy my take on things (and some shameless poaching of a number of ideas, with the odd tweak :)) and let me know how things go!

EDIT - I just realised that I didn't include a section for the DM in case he/she kills character who are carrying important Artefacts, this has now been rectified and placed in the DM section of the rule book.

PS - Once I start work on the quest books I will let you know, mine are slowly starting to fall apart so this way I can preserve them for a while longer yet if I don't need to use them.

PPS - I am starting to get the feeling this damn book still isn't finished!!! :goblin:

It's usually the case. Mine will get close to finished but will always be updated.

Hey I see what you were saying about the font, it seems it isn't being embedded in the pdf file for some weird reason. Hopefully will play around with it tonight and get it fixed otherwise I might have to switch fonts which could mess up the formatting :( oh well :) I am hoping to use these rules this coming weekend with my kids so I will let you all know how it goes.

I think I have fixed the font issue now which is good just had to make the PDF in a different way which wasn't to bad really, I have also made the character sheet a seperate download in case anybody has problems just printing off that page or for that matter wants to use it for their own rules or what not. New files are uploading to GDrive now so will update the first post shortly.

Some minor fixes and addition!

~ Added rules for Dual Wielding.
~ Clarified some skills.
~ Changed some formatting slightly, made names etc in Bold so hopefully should be a bit easier to read.
~ Added a net as a utility item like the tool kit.
~ Added a minor change to the reloading rules in that if a character doesn't move then they can fire every turn but if a spell or room effect forces them to move then the normal reloading rules apply.
~ Fixed some typos and grammatical errors.

I had already printed out my rule book too before these changes!! *cries*

Oh well time for

Hopefully you can keep some of your original pages after edits. Are you interested in more edit suggestions and opinions, or are you finished with this?

The main rules are finished baring any huge mistakes or imbalances any feedback from folks playing them would be awesome :), I am still looking in to doing the quest books but life keeps getting in the way and I now have a D&D 5e campaign to run *sigh* the things we do for hobbies.
