I'm guessing he has a double set as there are also 6 treasure chests.

Actually, I was a few doors short so had to borrow from starting rooms. Didnt think that bit through 100%.
As for the 6 chests, I bought a bunch of spare miniatures which had some extra furniture as well, including extra chests. I have the door cutouts, but not enough bases. The look on my sons face when he entered the room and saw that many chests. After he checked for traps, he was excited when he searched for treasure only to be told there was a lot of gear, but nothing he could use. The look on his face was priceless.
They almost missed the actual treasure room too.

This was only with single BP monsters too. Cant imagine how long it would have taken, if they had more BP :P
I also turned a chest in to a Mimic for next time. My kids know about that type of monster, but dont think it will happen in HQ. Little do they know.....mwahahahahahahahaaaa.

Just did a count of things, as I received another incomplete Hero Quest box. Was hoping for the Warhammer Quest box, but they didnt ship it. Would like some different monsters and characters.
Now, after counting, I have:
2 Game Boards (joined them together for a treasure run, kids loved it.)
40 Door bases, with enough open and closed doors, 3 Tables, 2 Thrones, 2 Alchemists tables, 1 Altar, 6 Bookcases, 8 Treasure Chests, 3 Weapon Racks with cards for random loot from the Rack, 3 Fireplaces, 3 Cupboards.
Just got Return of the Witchlord expansion finally. Still need Kellars Keep, although I have no shortage of monsters.
I got a second set of spell cards, so made new cards for Battle Mage.
Made new Artefact cards as well, to suit a few of the new characters I have.
Best of all, 8 combat dice to roll when playing!

Any thoughts/comments/criticisms welcome.

Now that you have Champion member status, it would be nice if you could create an attachment of this Quest for viewing at the Heroquest Additions room in the Quests and Quest Packs subforum.

Five hours seems very long for HQ. It's good to hear they had a good ending to make it all pay off. Have you since created some shorter Quests for the kids, or are they happy playing at a longer pace?

Just came across this golden post - does anyone have additional icon's they have used for this or the heroscribe programs? Search works okay for the forum but hard to find actual fan made items. Thanks!

There are a couple of simple icons that are in the Heroscribe link in my signature. I believe Whitebeard had made some custom icons a while back, but I don't have those. Most of the ones I've made aren't compatible with Heroscribe... yet. Maybe sometime in the near future. Anderas had made a bunch that I thought were in my link, but I may have just added them to the all-in-one Heroscribe zip file that's in there.

Hmmm... I may have made some simple test icons for the forest setting. One grave stone? This was when I discovered the offset issue in HeroScribe with new icons and started hacking PDF markup to figure it out.

I might have fixed some stuff for you... but I don't have an icon set.

This editor looks very nice, I just would like a US/EUR version switcher.
Also for the US map, I'd prefer to use an edited one, because the actual one is a scan from the original questbook so all the grana of the paper is also featured and when you print it it will result in a dirt look.
