I was up until 130 in the morning working on this quest for the Barbarian and the Dwarf, which uses the main system only.

I really had to edit the notes due to the fact there were overlapping the wandering monster part on the bottom of the page.

which is a good thing since I had the quest too hard at first, I had notes for rooms A through H .

My second quest should go a little faster since I now know how to use the program.

(Edit) ok I replaced the map with the right spelling and I will now post this in the proper forum.

crap I just noticed I misspelled Menacing. I will have to fix that when I get back from the store.

That is what I get for working on quest at such an ungodly hour.

Now I can't remember how to change the ini file into a png ,so I can change it into a jpeg. this is so aggravating.

(edit) OK I just remembered how I did this, I wasn't looking in the right folder for the saved png file.

this is such a great program I wanted to share this with other fans of the game.

Just joined the site, as its my reference for all things Heroquest.

Bought the game and the 3 available expansions in the early 90s to play basic DnD with my ex's kids.
Used the figures to teach em to play chess too.
Now I have 3 young kids of my own, and they love HQ as much as me.
With my AD&D influence, I have been making a few extra player types, using the New Heroes as a basis.
But when I saw the Quest Maker (and HeroScribe), I knew I had to have it. Thanks for all the hard work in making this too by the way.

I have only made the one quest so far. A quest to rescue all the new player types we have.
I used every room on the map, with some Orc and Goblin archers I made.
Played the game as the evil wizard, with my 12 yr old son (Wizard), my 10 yr old daughters friend (Thief) and my 8 yr old daughter (Barbarian).
5 hours later, we finished with only one player dead (or unconscious, but revived in time :P)
They were exhausted, but thrilled they had completed it successfully.
And watching my son scheme and plan, direct the others for the best outcome made me as proud as any gamer dad could be.

I give you.........The Rescue.
