Hi! Thank you again for your inputs!
When I discuss with people around me about
Dungeon Chronicles, they think it's still too generic and not "catchy" enough.
And I know they're right. Already 6 months that I'm searching this title... it's hard to find a descriptive + inspiring + catchy one.

Yes... the "Heroic Quest(s)" alternatives... it's still in my list but I think it's a little too near HeroQuest, just as
Quest Heroes is.
But I like the "generations" word. It would refer to the "old" players like most of us.
Lemmeron wrote:Dungeon Striders
Why not, I add it to the list.
Lemmeron wrote:Dungeons: Generations
Mmm.. it sounds like two words sticked together, but I still like the "generations".

I would prefer to avoid the descent word. When the print-and-play boardgame version will be available, some confusion with "The Descent: Journeys in the Dark" alias "Descent" may appear.

Sadly, there will be no catapults in the game

.

Thank you! The artist I'm working with is really talented, yes, and he's a pro ^^.

Or to put it differently... Just because anybody in the world made anything with X name, is said name forbidden from everything else? It's like naming your character in a videogame!
No, absolutely not! From a legal point of view, as soon as you have no copyright/trademark I think (I'm not an expert) it's totally fine. My problem is parasitizing other people creations. I know how you feel when the awesome name you found and built something around is suddenly used blindly by another product with more communication power than you. For example, 25 years ago I made a turn-based car-fighting boardgame (it was the age of Car Wars) and I called it
Road Wars (ok, it was not that original). I made multiple versions, even 2 computer games (
http://www.docteeboh.net/roadwars3d/news.htm, in french, sorry ^^"). At this time on internet, it was the only Road Wars. Since then, a TV show and a movie came out of nowhere with the same name. And everytime I felt like if somebody cut and stole a part of my body.
I should have world wide tradmarked it when I was a teenager
. So I just want to avoid this feeling to anybody else. I want no disturbance in the Force

.
So, I'm still wondering and wandering... I have to find the name by the end of the week, so if nothing better is coming out I guess it's going to be
Dungeon Chronicles.
About using the word "heroes" in the title, the more I think, the more I'm persuaded that it's wrong because the heroes will have to do (as exposed in my second post) some stuff that is not so gentle/cool. They will often have to do what a member of the elite is asking them to do if they want to succeed the mission. So they are not 100% what we think a hero should be..
Because of this setup, maybe the perfect title would be a "Dungeons of +
a sentence describing how wrong the world is going".
Dungeons of a Corrupted World
Dungeons of a Doomed Country
Dungeons of Disturbed Lands
Dungeons of Drift (nice, acronym is DD

)
Dungeons of Drifting Lands
Dungeons of Depraved Land
...
How would you describe the current world where we are living? With all the corruption, disparities, injustice, insecurity, etc.?
Oh, I almost forgot: even if I don't think that's catchy / very original, what do you think about the current code name
Quest Heroes?
Promise, I will stop to bother you soon: as I said I'll decide by the end of next week-end ^^. Thank you again for your help!
