W's HeroQuest Board 2.0 Project

Postby Weltenlaeufer » February 1st, 2025, 12:35 pm

So it begins again

I decided to make another 3-D HeroQuest board, this time with a bigger square size and semi high walls. I love my old board I made with Hirstarts molds during Covid and I always be playing on it, but its gonna be fun to switch it up with a second version. I also gonna use it if I ever get into the Remake and the new expansions. Version 2.0 is gonna be bigger and 3-d printed.

Square Size: 1.5 in = 3,81 cm
Total Board Size:
26 bottom tiles plus edges (3cm) = 102.6 cm
19 side tiles plus edges (3cm) = 75.39 cm

Let's see where this is going! :) I gonna post my progress here!

And the printer is running... :orc:  |_P

Alright, this is goin smoother and quicker than I thought! :D Big difference to casting individual tiles with dental plaster like I did with my last 3-D Board :D
The 3-D Printer was the coolest investment I made last year, I am really having a blast with it, printed out a whole 3-d Zombicide Black Plague board/town last year and now this.

So I decided to stay with 1.5 inch square size, it looks really cool. The first test room is printed and I am really happy how it came out. I still gotta clean up, blowtorch and sand some of the pieces to make them smoother. Here are a few first pics.
