(I suppose it would, come to think of it.)

Eddy, turn 54:
Eddy swings at the skeleton and misses. Panicking, he flees the alcove, stepping on the floor switch: the hidden door mechanism tries and fails to operate, as Caranthir is still depressing the other switch.

Eddy's out, Kili's in.

Kili movement:
Daedalus rolled 2 6-sided dice:
3, 3

Kili attack:
Daedalus rolled 4 6-sided dice:
2, 6, 2, 5

Skeleton defense:
Daedalus rolled 2 6-sided dice:
6, 6

So funny. There I thought Kili had the mansion deboned, and his hammer bounced. Caranthir, if you want and you get the movement, feel free to do to Kili like he planned for the Wizard. Hell, he'll even buy the round.

Sure, why not? Let's crush some bones.....

Caranthir removes his Holy Pendant as a precaution before moving onto the floor switch next to Hurgar

Caranthir, turn 54:
Caranthir leaps onto the floor switch and triggers the stone door mechanism!

CRUNCH goes the skeleton as it is sandwiched between the hard brick wall and harder troll slayer!

Kili takes...

...2 BP of damage from his role as a living sledgehammer.

Zargon, Turn 54:
All monsters in the mansion have been destroyed. With the necromancer's power gone, the air of dread looming over the estate dissolves, and all is silent.

All that remains...is whether Eddy Wizzard saves his friends.

End of Turn. Final Round commences.

We can escape, with or without Eddy's help. ;)
But I'm sure he will save us.

Ooohhhh, hehehe, the power!! What shall I do :P

Of course I save you, my noble friends! Assuming I have 12 movement as there's nothing left to do, I bravely step on the switch to open the wall, and stand there, until the Trollslayer can move out. Before he moves, I step off, so his movement will trigger the wall back, and we can all exit this macabre mansion.

We can use the cloak while attempting to jump the traps, and toss it back to the next in line. If someone should fail and fall into a pit, he could wait there, so the others can walk over their heads as before. That should minimize loss of body points, and enable us all to exit safely :)

I guess that's it then? Nice game! I'm gonna print this one and add it to my custom quests booklet. Is there a PDF somewhere?

With the horrors of Martense Manor overcome, our heroes flee the house and make the long journey back home, their pockets stuffed with loot and tales of the macabre.

EPILOGUE
When next the Emperor sees you, he takes your hand in his and nearly shakes the bones out of it, laughing heartily.

"Martense is on the run: evidently his power has failed him when he needs it most. 'Tis only a matter of time before we catch him and finish him once and for all. I have you to thank for that.

"Do stay as my guests and rest awhile. In a few days we shall discuss your future endeavors."

The heroes receive 250 gold to divide amongst them for destroying Martense's power, and may keep any treasures they found within the manor.

(Currently there is no pdf online, since I changed and improvised a lot of stuff during this playthrough. I think my other adventures are much better, to be honest.)

Well, I liked it. I hope you'll edit your quest and upload a final PDF version ;)

Thanks! I had fun :)

I enjoyed it too.

A few thoughts:
  • I think Florentine went down a bit too easy but the battle with the 3 Chaos Warriors made up for that.
  • I really like the way the top corridor worked, it's a shame we didn't go there until the quest was already over.
  • The 3 teleporting doors were also good

So how are we dividing up the gold?
