RotCG - 3 - Fortress of Pain

Postby j_dean80 » Saturday March 16th, 2019 4:45pm

So I played this one with my 10 yr old and her female Dwarf named Dwarfy, female Elf named Elfy, and female Wizard named Dinocatcher. Also my 5 yr old with his male Barbarian named Sword and male Dwarf named Dwarfy (I guess the Dwarves are twins). They split up and cleared the whole dungeon before they found Princess Miku. An alarm sounds when her cell door opens and the rest of the monsters are supposed to be revealed...but I had nothing left. So that's when I improvised. I added a secret door where shown and on all of the rest of Zargon's turns I would roll 1 red die and place that many Goblins in the new room who could immediately disperse. The halls were eventually flooded with Goblins up to 20 some-odd at one point. They had a blast hacking through them to get to the stairs.

I think Dinocatcher sounds bad! Wizzy is more appropriate and Barby for the Barbarian :D
Why did you mark the secret passage? It is just an empty room, I guess it is good to create confusion through the players, so they think it could hide something but instead they are just collecting more monsters on the board!.

That's just a door I added (improvised while playing and just added it on the map to show where I placed it) for a place for the monsters to come from when the alarm sounded. There were too many Gobos for the Heroes to ever actually get in that room. I kept rolling several 6s.

Totally... It read like a joke at first. Nowt like breaking continuity.
