Harrr! :-)
Go for it, get 'em!
Grak needs +1 or +2 BP, then this quest is great!

Yeah it’s a fun quest. Seeing the look on the (un-armed) Heroes faces when they encounter all the monsters in the centre room is priceless.
Later they got their own back by killing my boss without him even getting a single attack roll. I converted and painted this guy, and he was barely used! I did give him 3 body points, but it wasn’t enough with the Heroes rolling dice and using their spells so well.

Quest 10 - Race Against Time;
https://highadventureinaworldofmagic.bl ... -time.html

I added some new features to this one to actually force the Heroes to race against time, notably some Evil Wizard cards and an exit stairway that was slowly filling up with rubble...
Great fun was had by all.

Cool stuff :-)

Why did they open all three doors at a time?

They were petrified about the new rules, as I had been emphasising how dangerous the EWCards and the collapsed stairway could be. I think they were genuinely scared that they would get buried alive down there and lose characters they are quite attached to, so they were running around trying to explore as many rooms as possible.
At least until the Elf realised he could just Pass Through Rock if the stairway was blocked, then he decided to go on a treasure hunt instead :roll:

Pancho wrote:That was a great quest. The Evil Wizard cards really added to the game, and the collapsing stairway was a great mechanic too. The Heroes were never in great danger from it, but it felt throughout that they were. Somebody at the Inn came up with that excellent little rule, but I can't remember who. Thanks anyway!

I've just read the entry on your Blog. Had great fun! I have to adapt my race against the time and also rolll boulders down the stairway :D
