19th September 2015

Today we have made a start on the Elf expansion. I had to make the quests harder as the girls are now quite advanced having completed the initial quest book, Kellers Keep, and the Frozen Horror. As I have a load of Ogres from Against the Ogre Horde and from the Dark World board game, and don't have any Elven Archers, Warriors or Giant wolves I'm just going to use Ogres.

Quest 1 - The Avenger Returns (5 players)
Goblins changed to chaos warriors, and am using 2 Mummies instead of one for wandering monsters:
Players:
Sonja the Wild (partner) - Female barbarian
Valeria the Savage (13 year old daughter) - Female barbarian
Isabella Von Carstein (15 year old daughter) - Vampire
Vlad Von Carstein (15 year old daughters friend) - Vampire
Morcar (me)

Quest 2 - On Sacred Ground (4 players)
Sonja the Wild (partner) - Female barbarian
Isabella Von Carstein (15 year old daughter) - Vampire
Vlad Von Carstein (15 year old daughters friend) - Vampire
Morcar (me)
Goblins changed to chaos warriors. We decided to use Knights instead of maidens.

Does the two vampires have normal wizard/dwarf stats and abilities?

Also, shouldn't the elves and wolves be pretty easy to proxy, seeing as you don't mind using regular WH minis?

Vlad and Isabella Von Carstein and their stats are here for our heroes :)

I wasn't really bothered about proxying the figures to be honest their stats are not much different from existing monsters, I spend enough on eBay as it is!
I did consider getting the Wolves from Warhammer Quest to use as the Wolves but the seller on eBay (Robmax87) has ran out of stock, and luckily he lives the next street over from my ex-partner so when I go visit my kids I can pick them up!

In between the rugby we managed to squeeze in a few more quests, though we stopped playing during the Japan V South Africa game as it was sensational!

Quest 3 - Terrelia's Maze
Sonja the wild - Barbarian - my partner
Morcar - Me
(2 players)
Changed the Wolves for Ogres, and didn't put Goblins in the same room as undeads, changed them to Skeletons. My partner skipped through this quest quite easily.

Quest 4 - The Elven Prospector
Sonja the wild - Barbarian - my partner
Morcar - Me
(2 players)
The wolf in the center room was changed to an Ogre. My partner attempted this alone and I did kill her in the final two rooms luckily she had an elixir of life
So she got a second shot at it, to finish.

Today we completed Alchemists Laboratory and Tormuk's Guests. We didn't have any major issues in these quests, having 2 Vampires using Clairvoyance and checking rooms and sorting out the layout of the map before they enter rooms is making things quite easy for them, though time is limited between clubs and watching the rugby, so I didn't mind. With the UK treasure cards and noting to buy with gold the girls have now all but abandoned even writing it down.

At least it was young TMU and not creepy old knightkrawler
But while he is fawning over the girls I can't help but notice the DVDs in the background.

Awesome looking game! You said your players are not worrying about gold? Do you have any good gold sinks available? I use gold to level my players up - they buy new abilities with their gold and potions in between quests too. Keeps the gold interesting.

Neither of the 3 girls in the pictures are legal yet, their between 13 and 15, lol.

The basic problem we have with regards to gold is a load amount of treasure cards so the characters have potions and they all have artifacts so armor and stuff didn't really get bought due to multiple sets. We just ran out of uses for it. We're on a bit of a break of the game at the moment as were winding down the last few weeks of our holiday home and preparing to close it for the off season from mid November until the start of March.

Yeah, but it was you handing out artifacts for a double on the movement dice, no? :D
Just go kill one of them each second quest, they'll need some gold to level up again.
