Actually, the story and everything else would work well too. I also generally welcome the level of difficulty. Finally, something for advanced groups. But in some respects, as you said, it’s simply designed unfairly. I’d actually like to take the BP away from the heroes.
Basically, just a few rules spoil the impression. I think every game master has found their own way to get round them, though. I’ve already listed mine above.
