The printed cards are very good quality I’d like to say. Thanks Lestodante.

Re: The Tyrant's Tomb - a solo quest pack

Postby Lowery_79 » August 22nd, 2022, 7:51 pm

I tried to message Pancho, in regards to questions about some monsters in Tyrant's Tomb solo quest. So I thought I would also post them here to see if any of you can help answer them.

As I was reading through this topic again a few things regarding the monsters came up so I thought I would ask you about them.

In quest 6 (Continuing the misadventures of the Dwarf), what does the undead creature known as Draugar look like? He or it stands on the " X " marked by the letter "J " on the quest map. Also in the notes for this letter it says he grows, does he just take up one space and each time he grows you switch him out with a taller model to represent his growth?

Next I scrolled forward a bit through the different posts and came to a monster list. Where it talked about Rime-Wolves (says use giant wolves for them from MOTM). Are these what the three headless hounds are called in quest 10 (In the Night Season Part 1, The Litch - Way)? They are marked with three " X's" on the map labeled " F ". Also I know the notes say to use the giant wolves for them, but if someone wanted to make a mini for them would it look like:

A) https://www.deviantart.com/tamga/art/He ... -660803086

B) https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/feara ... 1126053054
(Also when I came across this image it took me to this site)
https://fearandhunger.fandom.com/wiki/Headless_Hounds

I really like the look of " A " but I'm not sure how Pancho saw this in his head or what he might have said what this monster looks like. Also are they a giant wolf size or are they a normal wolf size? Either way I was thinking a good base mini to start with for this monster would be to use the wolf from the "Battel Masters" game. The ones that the wolf riders ride on.

From there if it was the same size as the giant wolves the mini could just be sized bigger in the file.

Thanks for any insight anyone can give.

If this works this should be the link for "A" (if not maybe it could just be copied and pasted into the URL area where you type email addresses).

This should be for "B"

@Pancho, just noticed the original name for the Wraithweaver was Wraitreaver. Did you change the name appositely or was it a typo?
Also the Propugnator Sword and the Ruby Ring were skipped for this questpack as well as the Blue Amulet.

Description from the book as follows:

Propugnator
This is the magical weapon Propugnator. It only strikes for
normal damage, but is superb in defence. When you use
it to parry, you need a roll of 1-5, instead of the usual 1-2,
on one die. Note that on your character sheet.

Ruby Ring
According to the satyr, this ring can be used to immobilize
an opponent by freezing them in time. He would have used
it himself, but the band is too narrow to fit on his thick
stumpy fingers – fortunately for you.
In any combat, you can use the ring to despatch one
enemy without rolling the dice. If you are facing multiple
foes, the others will be unaffected. Also, the ring only has
enough sorcery left in it to work once, so think carefully
before you use it.

Blue Amulet
a sparkling amulet comprising a smooth
blue stone set into a gold surround.
‘What’s this do?’ you ask, putting the amulet around
your neck.
‘It defends against magic. That’s what you wanted, isn’t
it?’
You can increase your MIND score by two points as long
as you retain the amulet. (Note this on your Character
Sheet as ‘Blue Amulet: +2 to MIND’.)

I know probably Pancho didn't want to use these too, but I did an attempt at creating the three artifacts mentioned above.
I am fine with the amulet and the ring and how they works, they may be found in the Treasure deck too.
For the Propugnator sword, I am still not sure about its rules. Considering to change the defend roll with two red dice and to parry successfuly with a 4-6. Rolling everything but a black shield seems too much.
Just noticed a typo in the amulet on the last row, should be Then, not Than.
