New Internet Group Starting Jan 2025

Postby BlazetheActionJunkie » Sunday December 15th, 2024 4:52am

Come January I'll be starting a regular Saturday night game on Roll20. The time window will probably be something like a 10 or 11pm start time Eastern Standard Time, and the goal will be a 2-3 hour game.

It'll be HeroQuest (I wouldn't be here otherwise) with all of the published material available.

I also have a leveling system and power dice system implemented. Homebrew of course.
I've added more spells and skills to add a unique feel to the game, while being careful not to change any of the original game mechanics.
As an example, there will be 10 spell schools to choose from and nine spells from each school, as opposed to four just having the four elements with the base three spells each.
Spells from Wizards of Morcar, Mage of the Mirror and other printed products are included in the additions.
Some of what's added also comes from BanjoGames's wonderful homebrew suggestions.
Others are highlights of other homebrew suggestions I've found online.
Test runs of the prequel quests went amazing - the system on roll20 using Discord for voice connection works great.

Who am I?
Well, I'm new here. I haven't tried to run a HeroQuest group since the 90's, until my friend from Rock Hill ended up with some of the remake material and asked me to run it as Zargon. He was aware I ran the game as kids and that I'm well versed in both HeroQuest as a game and running tabletop adventure groups with a lifetime of experience and a D&D game master.
We're currently trying to get a regular group together for that tabletop game as well, although the in and out casual players we have now kind of works.
I've ran regular Pathfinder games on roll20 for over half a decade. I kept four different groups active with regular schedules for nearly 5 years. I intend on doing something similar with this HeroQuest group once it starts, so if you don't know what your schedule might look like 6 months or a year down the road on Saturday Nights, I'd encourage you to let someone else take this spot.

I really only need one or two interested peoples. I have one or two others.

If you're interested I'd like to type at you via Discord to discuss the homebrew options I intend on implementing to see if you'd care to spend time in a game with those options.

So if you're interested and have Discord feel free to respond here, shoot me a dm here or email me BlazetheActionJunkie@gmail.com, and I'll try to connect with you over Discord.

Sounds like you'll be playing after our game ends on Saturday. Good luck!
