Looks interesting Databear.
Keep us updated on this as I’m sure you’d get enough players wanting to join in (I’m up for it).

Had a chance to tryout Zoom over the weekend, not bad. A lot was made of the security issues which have supposedly been patched (its better to use email invite than phone invite). If the host is using a paid version, the usual restrictions (40 minute time limit) don't apply. Might be a viable alternative for some.

Just downloaded Maptools. Wow that seems to have lots of functions! Unfortunately I was too stupid to find png or svg import functions on the first glance, otherwise it might be interesting indeed.

If you want to add your own pictures just use "file->add to library" to select any folder on your computer. It will add everything in it including subfolders to maptools resource library. It does not copy files just use the path you entered. Only files created are thumbnails in your appdata folder that you can clear by clicking different symbols on the bottom right of the main screen.

If you don't use advanced functions like macros it's very easy to use you can draw maps really fast with a bit of a habit.
You can also use a large picture as a background and add objects on top of it by using layers.

Looks interesting indeed!

Oui je parle français. Je vivait à la France pendant neuf ans. |_P
Ton anglais est assez bien!

Could I call you on hangouts some time? I think that's be easier than forum postings. :-)

Since this virus started I was using Zoom a lot from my Thailand house Thailand house as I had to work remotely. It's a great app and what I love about it is that you can connect many people at the same time.

There is a monthly subscription fee for Zoom ($15-19), but the free version has unlimited video time for 1 on 1, three or more has the 40 min limit, I just found out. Some people have a business license for more. I have neither a smart phone nor a command of the French language, but just providing info.
