I feel you on that one. Though with my 2 expansions I did pay a little over 50. I ended up paying 54 plus shipping, but since they were from the same seller I got combined shipping on them. At the time when I got them they were the lowest prices.

What I would like to know is how many people (in the world) actually own the expansions in order to play with them versus how many people buy them just so they can sell them on for more money.
It seems to me like there's so many expansions being traded on ebay, why aren't they being retained by people who want to use them?

Well - for me...anything I own is just for me...or to actually play with, should I find anyone to play.
The same is true for all of the D&D books I own...I have all of the basic/expert/companion/masters
rules books, along with a lot of the accessories that go with them. I have no group to play with, except
online, right now...but I did not buy them to sell. I have them for me.

I bought main game and all expansions when they were originally released. Second set I picked up from charity shop for £9 about a year ago.(Couldn't believe it at first.) I purchased all my stuff to play, not to sell. I would grudge paying the sort of money that is being asked nowadays for it. It would be great if whoever owns the rights to HQ could re-release even the minis and furniture to stop people making such huge profits from it.

I have bought return of the witch lord with unpunched tiles and fig for just 20 Euros, on last december, on Ebay ! Ok, it's not a rare expansion, but it's a good deal ! The Game System one month earlier, very well conserved, for just 40 Euros.

isn't it kind of a pain in the ass, torilen, that you have so much good stuff but nobody to play it with? There has to be a way to get interested people to join you?....

I actually havn't got any heroquest games because I wasn't born when it was released. My uncle has a copy of it though, and i think he has a few expansions. When we meet up we usually do a couple of quests.

i was alive but only four or five when it came out, so by the time i played it, it had been out of print for some time. for a couple years, i would often check the game section of stores hoping it would be avalable again. over time, it was pushed from my mind and i even forgot the name. then, back in '09 i started thinking about the game agian more and more and wanted to play. finaly one day i did a search on ebay for board games and scrolled through hundreds and hundreds of board games untill i found what i was looking for. once i again knew the name of the game i was able to procure one within a few weeks for a decint price ($45 including the shipping). so, not having been born then isn't really much of an excuse. if you really want one, you'll get one
