Yeah, I agree but I think clarifications for those extra characters rules would be better. There are more people who have similar doubts here.


I think it's clear the intention was for the Warlock only to be able to use the 3 Warlock spell cards... the ability to use Wizard gear refers to Equipment and Artifact restrictions only. So no disputes over dividing up the elemental Spell cards with this character (only the Elf and Wizard get those).

To clarify... ANY hero can use ANY spell scroll. So a random draw is from the scrolls you have chosen to make available for that quest. I didn't mean to say the new characters couldn't use them... you don't even have to be a "Spell castor" to use them.

And the Wizard doesn't get to use the Wand weapon.

In the Crypt of Perpetual Darkness:

Quest 5 - The Sunken City of Buubhealxea (page 15): The goblin queen Buubhealxea knows the Escape spell, but the Dread Spell Escape in this version is the one that allows the spellcaster to escape to a previously designated place on the quest map (a la Balur in the Fire Mage quest from the original NA system). There is no such designated place on the map--don't know whether it was intended that she escape to the "X" to potentially bar the heroes from exiting (presumably not, since it is flagged as a note to indicate that the door can only be opened with the key that is in the chest in her room, and not as the place she escapes to), or whether the designer had the Wizards of Morcar version of Escape in mind where the spellcaster could escape to any unoccupied space.

Thank you! Very goood catch! Yeah, I agree... it seems the original intention was to allow the goblin queen to escape to the "X" square. I didn't understand why such letter was not called as "F" so this change could be for that escape purpose but unfortunately it has not been explained in the quest notes.

The Escape square would be marked with an X, that is logical. So the lack of an explanation next to X saying this is the location of the Escape spell is the error of omission here. Good catch!

Just noticed this one. Dont know if it was intentional, or an accident. So Im posting it...

Borin's Armor use to be 4 def dice, the new card shows only 2 def dice.

Hi, I think it is correct. I guess it is just a rules wording clarification from old version of the game where was said that Borin's Armour provided a total 4 defence dice which could be ambiguous, specially if you tried to combine it with a helmet. In the Hasbro remake such wording was changed and improved saying +2 extra defence dice and explaining that the armour may be combined with a helmet. This also means a total of 2+2=4 defence dice since the basic defence of all heroes is 2 defence dice, so I think no real changes are included.

Spirit Queen's Torment:

Quest 6 (p. 16) the three chests marked B should be orange because they contain traps.

Quest 7 (p. 18) should have an orange mummy in room B (following earlier precedents in this quest book), for the sake of consistency.

Because of the missing "armory" text on page 17 in the book Prophecy of Telor, has nobody read page 18 correctly?

Read the following to the heroes text:
"Having Escape the Ruins of Gilgarreht, you journey back to gain counsel from Mentor. While waiting for the wizard, you may visit the armory.

Once the players have finished purchasing equipment cards from the armory, read the following page before starting the next quest."
