Ever since HispaZargon started talking about this one I've been watching it like a hawk, I have a feeling this will answer some more questions....

Just realizing the Skull tiles have the lower jawbone on them while the originals don't.

Confirmed, they retained the map error (not present in the EU edition, introduced in the NA edition in 1990) with the Trap in Quest 3!

He doesn't zoom in enough to see the introductory story text, but the quests so far look identical other than the usual word substitutions.

Ullar's ghost now chuckles "wildly" instead of "madly."

Bastion of Chaos is (predictably) now "Bastion of Dread."

In the Rulebook instead of the "Z" and "H" (Zargon and Hero) it uses the Mentor eye and the Zargon "Jack Skellington face" to designate the two sections. They removed the "Secrecy envelop" orange blotches pages, and a lot of pages are reversed with slightly different graphics.

The line about the Wizard saving up for powerful magic items available in later expansions is gone (they just tell him he'd be wise to save his gold... uh, for what?).

I think the ZARGON SKULL symbol/ MENTOR EYE of Loretome symbol token TILE is a simple turn counter so you can flip it over when your turn is over and walk away from a game in progress and come back and remember whose turn it was. Heroes represented by Mentor, monsters represented by Zargon.

and the symbol of evil [still] looks like a bunny rabbit if you turn it upside down

The Abomination is kind of reminiscent of Merman from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe as deadgamer pointed out. I compare him to a the "Sharktacons" from Transformers G1. "piranha people"

The undeads in the Remake are very white (like the EU), look like they need a yellowish wash to match the NA set. The Green monsters are a pine green color compared to the more pea green NA set that deadgamer is showing off.

So character sheets are definitely scaled up in size and the pad is thicker.

Hi, I am watching the deadgamer video and I have realized something I think relevant. Have you seen that new furniture has more or less the same base size as original furniture, even smaller?? I thought Hasbro was going to re-scale the furniture to match it with the new size of board squares but they have not done it. In my opinion it is an error since new furniture will not fully cover at all the squares it should, especially the 2x3 square furniture like tables. I know this was also something that happened with the original HQ, I have seen kids playing as Evil Wizard usually putting by mistake the tables of original HQ only covering 3x1 squares instead of 3x2 but if you keep the same size of the table but enlarges the size of the squares, the problem with that will be worst. The only reason I could find to do it is just trying to have the furniture in a more close scale as the new miniatures, which are bigger since in the original HQ the furniture was clearly made in a bigger scale than miniatures (think about sorcerer's table book for example). What do you think? First play tests will answer how important is it I guess.

I can review the video again but I thought it only mentioned the helmet and shield being able to be combined with the bracers (not for the Wizard or Warlock obviously).

Edit: Reviewed Cosmic Tavern's video again and the equipment card states:

Bracers:
ARMOR - These hardened leather bracers give you 1 extra Defend die. May be combined with
the helmet and/or shield.

Hi, after watching the last deadgamer video, the Bracers cost is 550 GOLD COINS instead of 350, so that have sense now!

Wow, the higher resolution and his closeups makes a huge difference and that makes way more sense! (even more expensive than my bracers, but I made them Wizard only; my cloak was open to anyone but 600 gold).

Well done Cael, I posted up a link to each of your comparisons, and the GS one looks to be the most extensive of all. I appreciate how you were able to toss in the NA and EU models to show some variations in shape/color as well.

I kind of figured Prophecy of Telor was supposed to take place after the original campaign. But I can add that detail to the main page. Find anything else in terms of other quest packs? Pretty much every single quest pack acts like you have played some or all of the game system because they bump up the difficulty, I'm guessing that's similar here too? Judging by monster body points, monster overall ratings, trap counts, etc? You've done extensive work here and I appreciate it. It's been a community effort, but that's outstanding.

Looking at your game system comparison thread, you have this wrong.


If you look deep inside, you will see it is the OTHER bookshelf as the skull is in the back on the shelf. the one pictured with the new one here is not included in the new game.

technically it is a meld of both shelves and at the same time neither of the original shelves, they just took parts they like and kept those parts and remade new shelves.

If I can get my scanner to work, I will be trying to scan each piece of furniture flat to see what details are inside. Currently it doesnt want to work because it has no ik... who cares, I aint buying ink for this thing anymore, a scanner shouldnt require ink in the printer portion to SCAN things!

I dont want to have to dig in the closet for the Windows 95 flatbed scanner because i got no place to put it near the PC, I need to be able to use the wireless scanner.

so far it seems only the barbarian has molded base terrain. which confuses me why this reddit post shows textured flagstone under the orc.
