Who's this guy?

Now, who is he?

I'm speaking of the center figure on the gamemaster screen. Yes, the one with the impressive facial hair and the red cloak.
He's also depicted on the hero cards and at some other places in the game.
I always considered him to be Mentor, having this Santa look and always holding a book (Loretome?). The authors of the Marvel Heroquest Winter special comic seem to have had the same impression (and the artists of the computer game at least choosed a different look for Morcar).
But now, I found that Drahte thinks this to be a portrait of Morcar/Zargon, as he used it for his Map Icon:

This seems a valid opinion, giving his fierce expression and the fact that on the game screen the monsters seem to swirl from under his coat.

its mentor. if you look at the quiet book and instructions theres a little picture of mentor before he starts 'talking' its the same guy that is on that board.
