The shipping costs to Canada killed it for me. $135 USD to ship the $150 level, plus they're charging taxes bringing it to over $300 USD and making it over $400 CDN.

In the pulsecon preview video they mentioned that they're using the US rules, but bringing in elements from other versions, but those only affect things when you are designing your own quests. (So probably additional optional rules). It will be fascinating to see what they show in the full panel today.

And a lot of fans were super mad that the pulsecon preview was only about Heroquest - the Transformers and GIJoe fans seemed put out that there was nothing for them.

And as an FYI
HasLab is Hasbro's internal version of a kickstarter type site. They've used it in the past to fund Jabba's Sail barge for Star Wars and a huge Unicron figure for Transformers. Neither of these have gone to retail and the Sail barge costs a fortune to buy on the secondary market (Unicron is still being made). Heroquest is unique in the Haslab ventures so far, in that it will be coming to retail, probably for Christmas next year. So far they've said that backers on Pulse get theirs first and the exclusive content, a few extra figures and the stretch goals.

Speaking of Jabba's Sail Barge, the "toy" costs $1800 on Amazon, but the shipping is only $5!

Miguel Garcia Fernandez recently posted a video responding to the fact that they're not shipping internationally.

https://youtu.be/Ze7OXXX5sPQ

In the video he offers a possible solution to international fans. I don't know how cost effective it is, but it might open the doors for some of our international friends.

There's also a shoutout to the Inn near the end.

Just a heads up for you Canadians, you should have an email from Hasbro. Apparently they found a way to get the game to you cheaper.

Also about PulseCon... did anyone know that Mr. Manganiello even knew Hero Quest existed before seeing he was going to be on the panel?
