Factory errors sounds pretty disappointing if there's more than one or two reports of that. :(

If the parts themselves aren't missing entirely, you'd need to yank the pieces apart somehow, clean and adjust and then apply your own glue.

I have little concerns with new furniture size as I explained here but nobody has commented anything yet. I am glad to see anybody has concerns about it so it seems not to be quite serious in the board. What do you think about it?

Additionally, I think we should open a new thread to list the different errata found, it could be very useful.

I posted side by side photo comparisons of the HeroQuest furniture here and most of the furniture is the same size or smaller than the original HeroQuest furniture. The furniture is solid one piece rubbery plastic so they will stand many more years of abuse than the old ones made of cardboard or fragile plastic that snaps off I think. They are kind of generic looking like the Dungeons & Dragons furniture that can be bought at any game store, so you could quickly accumulate more for your custom quests and have it match the design aesthetic.
I think the furniture is the one clearly superior upgrade in quality from the old (although I prefer the old) in the whole box.

I don't mind if the furniture is the same size (or slightly smaller as it turns out). The classic furniture to me looks just fine on a board with 1 inch squares (like I have created for myself). Now it might start to strain credibility as to what squares your hero players can occupy in a cramped room, but it is what it is.

I don't need the furniture to be entirely space filling according to the icons on the quest map, like it always has been. According to comparisons the size differences are barely anything, like a mm or two.

I'm no chemist (or alchemist) so it probably depends upon the type of material, but a lot of rubbery toys I have from childhood are like petrified bricks now (3+ decades of shelf wear). Which is fine if they weren't actual bendies (with the wires in them, meant to be posed and you're not going to spike them on the ground like a football anytime soon).

PS: I nominate HispaZargon for the "errata" thread. :D

No problem!

About errata and furniture... did you noticed that all alchemist bench symbols shown in Hasbro/Avalon questbooks has a symmetrical look to the "real" piece of furniture? Maybe we could avoid considering it an errata but it is another non-enough-quality-check in my opinion (original questbooks symbol is accurate)

See that's what I mean... you have a close attention to detail that lots of people miss, so I think you'd be an excellent person to maintain it, should you choose to accept the mission. ;)

SPOILERS:

reading deadgamer's spoilers... so Spirit Queen's Torment uses the same Alchemist Shop as KK/ROTWL. Dread magic is achieved by evil creatures who "give up balance and empathy." Mentor's advice is to not rely only on "Swords blade wand magic" but also "wit and heart." As mentioned earlier, he employees an Elf woman as a "diviner."

Apparently there are "ancient and great" Orc kingdoms that studied dangerous magic (we already knew about Orc sorcerers way back in the GS if anyone has forgotten of course).

The rules for the Bard hero in this Mythic quest pack is that once per quest he can actually replace one dead hero (the player now controls the Bard character). The Bard stands in for at least two different NPC characters. If you otherwise discover these "allies" you control them after your regular hero (much like Sir Ragnar).
These Orc allies can do everything a hero can do except they don't get a cut of the treasure (so presumably the treasure is given to the regular heroes instead at the end of the quest, instead of being paid like a mercenary).

So if you get iced, you reincarnate as an Orc minstrel, just sayin'. :orc:

Difficulty wise it looks to start off medium (23-29 monster BP for example). Maybe I should post all my thoughts in the specific threads, I'll check to see what else hasn't been posted there yet. |_P
